Prof Morteza Aghmesheh
Clinical Professor Aghmesheh is a Cancer Specialist at Illawarra Cancer Care Centre (ICCC) and member of Illawarra Health and Medical Research Institute. He has been principle investigator in many clinical trials. Research interests include new drug delivery models, cancer genetics and cancer drug discovery. Current projects with collaborators include; translationally controlled tumour protein (TCTP) as a biomarker and drug target in colon cancer, Objective Clinical Fitness Assessment Using Inertial Sensors in cancer patients, polymer structures for delivery of Abraxane to treat pancreatic cancer and retrospective analysis of outcomes for head and neck patients treated with concurrent chemo/radiotherapy in Illawarra between 2006-2012.
