Circulating Tumour Cell (CTC) Diagnostics and Research

The Centre for Circulating Tumour Cell Diagnostics and Research (CCDR) is a CONCERT supported initiative. The CCDR is located at the Ingham Institute next to the Liverpool Hospital (Sydney) and is unique in its approach towards precision oncology for cancer patients. The ability to non-invasively monitor cancer is an unprecedented breakthrough. Analysis of blood samples at the CCDR provides measurement of the presence, load and genetic makeup of tumour cells in a cancer patient.  This capability ultimately aims to inform the clinician so individual therapies can be tailored for a given patient.
